Balboa 59303 ControlMySpa Ultra Wi-Fi Gateway

Control your compatible hot tub from virtually anywhere with the Balboa ControlMySpa Ultra Wi-Fi Gateway. Using the ControlMySpa app on an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet, you can remotely adjust the water temperature, operate pumps and lights, create schedules, lock the spa, and receive important system notifications.

Compatible with Aquatic Spas and Tropic Seas Spas equipped with a compatible Balboa BP Series control system.

The ControlMySpa app provides a guided setup process for connecting the gateway to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can manage compatible spa functions through the app from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.

CMS Setup Code Required

A unique CMS code is required to register and connect the spa to the ControlMySpa database. The CMS code is printed on a 4-inch square sticker located inside the product box. Keep this code in a safe place and refer to the included user guide during setup.

Compatible Balboa Control Systems

This Wi-Fi gateway is compatible with select Balboa BP Series control systems, including:

• BP100
• BP501
• BP501X
• BP601
• BP2000
• BP2100

A compatible Balboa BP Series main spa pack/control system is required. This module will not work with unsupported control systems.

Installation Notes

When installing the module on certain BP500 or BP600 spa control systems, a compatible Y-splitter cable may be required. The splitter connects to the circuit board, with the Wi-Fi module connected to one panel port and the spa control panel connected to the other.

Connection cables should be safely routed through the control box and the designated port on the side of the spa pack. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about your spa’s control-system compatibility or wiring configuration.

Wi-Fi Router Requirements

• Requires a 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network.
• Supports 802.11b/g/n wireless technology.
• 5 GHz-only networks are not supported.
• Supports open, WEP, WPA, and WPA2 home-network security configurations.
• A Wi-Fi signal strength of -50 dBm or better is recommended for reliable cloud connectivity.
• Dual-band routers may require separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network names. Connect the module to the 2.4 GHz network.

Not Supported

• Guest networks or public hotspots that require a browser-based login page.
• Enterprise networks requiring certificates, 802.1X, RADIUS, or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise authentication.
• 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi networks.

If the spa is too far from the router, compatible extension cables may be available in 7-foot, 25-foot, 50-foot, and 100-foot lengths to help position the module to receive a stronger signal.
