- With the circulation system running, add 7.5 grams (1½ tsp) per 300 gallons directly to the spa.
- After 15 minutes, test bromine and repeat dosing as needed until an active bromine level of 2–4 ppm is established.
- Heavy bather loads or debris may require higher or more frequent dosing.
- Use test strips regularly to monitor bromine levels.
- It is recommended that spas be drained every 30–90 days (more often with heavy use).
Shock Treatment
- With the circulation system running, add 30 grams (6 tsp) per 300 gallons directly to the spa.
- Regular shocking helps remove water-soluble wastes that can cause dull/cloudy water and contribute to algae growth.
